We have had a busy and exciting May here at Sport Calgary! We have been focused on connecting and collaborating with the community, all while building momentum for our upcoming All Sport One Day event June 20, 2026!
πππ₯ Stryker Sports Summer Camps πππ₯offer a fun, high-energy environment for athletes in Grades 1β12 to build skills, confidence, and game understanding. Led by experienced coaches, camps focus on fundamentals, gameplay, and teamwork, with programming tailored to every level: from beginners learning the basics to advanced athletes refining technique and preparing for fall school and club tryouts.

All Sport One Day is a fantastic, FREEsport discovery event designed specifically for children and youth ages 6 to 17. It offers a unique opportunity for young participants to try out a new sport or physical activity in a fun and supportive environment. With opportunities to get involved all across the city - check out a session near you!
On April 22, Sport Calgary introduced new leadership at the Sport Calgary Annual General Meeting.
Candice Goudie was welcomed as the incoming President of Sport Calgary with a strong background in sport leadership and community building.

Introducing Performance Testing at Group23...Know Your Readiness!
Group23 is excited to announce that Performance Testing is now available to all patients.
This new service uses advanced force-plate technology and isometric testing to assess strength, balance, power, and movement symmetry. The results provide patients with clear, objective insights into recovery progress and readiness to return to sport.
Whether returning from injury, working to prevent future issues, or seeking to better understand performance, this testing delivers meaningful data to inform training and rehabilitation decisions.

As we prepare for a fun-filled summer, we are reaching out to volunteers who is interested to be a part of All Sport One Day on June 20 and August 15, 2026.
You are welcome to volunteer for one or both event dates. Roles include a 1-hour onboarding session prior to the event and up to a full-day commitment on event day (approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:30pm). Shifts can be determined at the time of sign up. While sport experience is a bonus, it is not required. Depending on the role, being comfortable interacting with the public and having strong communication skills are valuable assets.

Parks Foundation Calgary, in partnership with The Club 315, is hosting the Daisy Classic Pickleball Fundraiser on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Club 315 (315 Manitou Road SE). This full-day pickleball tournament and community event runs from 8:30am to 8:30pm and is open to anyone 18+, all skill levels welcome. Participants can compete in singles, doubles, or four-player team formats, with six guaranteed matches and optional intro or refresher pickleball lessons. The evening features a BBQ-style dinner and live music by The Lovebullies from 5:15pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are also available for dinner and music only. 100% of proceeds support Parks Foundation Calgaryβs Building Communities Program and The Daisy Park public garden, helping fund community-led park and playground projects across Calgary.

Finding a place where your child truly feels included can change everything.
The CMSA Goal Getters FC Cerebral Palsy Program is back for Summer 2026, creating a welcoming soccer environment for children and youth living with cerebral palsy and similar neuromotor movement differences. More than soccer, this program is about confidence, friendships, movement, and belonging. Registration is now open:

City launches 'sport hub' model to eliminate barriers for youth participation
By bringing outside coaching expertise and sports equipment into community and school settings, the program intends to help youth develop physical literacy, confidence and a lifelong connection to sport.
Did you know Sport Calgary with its partners are running FREE sport programs in communities across Calgary. These programs are free for participants and range from one-day camps to six-eight week programs. More than 11,000 people were impacted by All Sport One Community programs in 2025.
